A Week among many

I’ll tell you what, it’s amazing how much genuine human interaction can fuel the soul. It’s been a long time since I went out across the country to see some of my clients. Of course, Covid really changed things up but still, I’ve had plenty of opportunities to go see my clients & prospects for that matter.

This past week was a blast. I went to a state I’d never explored and met some current clients and a new future client. I was refreshed. I love seeing these business owners and managers get better. I was reminded of my purpose. It’s nice to be wanted and valued. It’s nice to sit in a room with a group of people ready to ask questions because I have the experience. I put in a lot of time and effort, and I really sacrifice to be able to be a resource for others. Good trip all around.

Over the weekend I spent time with family and friends back home. A few lessons learned:

  1. Helping my father get his dream car was way more impactful mentally than I anticipated.
  2. Life moves fast. It’s really hard for me to do this, but it’s great to slow down and smell the roses.
  3. Give people the benefit of the doubt until you shouldn’t. It’s better that way.
  4. Phone down. Put that damn thing away for a while. People will figure their shit out.

I start another long week on the road today and I have to say I’m looking forward to being back in my own bed on Sunday. This weekend I get to go and be with some really successful people that have made a large impact on this world. I’m going to sit back and listen. I’m going to absorb it.

I’m excited to share my learnings with you next week.

God willing.
