I’ve always wanted to launch a rocket

Ah yes, the end of travels for two weeks.

Swerve! Quick 36 hour trip to Prairie Dunes in Wichita. Boy, was that fantastic! What a nice time at a very special golf course with great friends. Grateful to get the invite!

Ok then, I actually got back to Houston since Thursday, and it’s been really great. I slept for nearly eight hours THREE DAYS STRAIGHT. I feel like a different human. My body can really perform (mentally and physically) when I’m well rested.

I get it, that makes sense, but it’s easier said than done.

It’s been really nice to be back at my place, getting life in order and hanging out with Elizabeth a bunch.

Amidst getting caught up with stuff around the house I’m prepping for some serious house projects this upcoming week. A bunch of shit I’ve wanted to get done, I’m finally getting done. Stoked to have a little bit of an upgraded environment when I’m home.

I know I’ll feel the subtle differences.

Occupying most of my mind are the major changes we’re making and going to make at Fountain Forward.

I must say, we really have a great vision for our future, and we’re ready to take some risks to be the best version of ourselves. I keep telling people about my excitement and this overwhelming feeling of, “I really dont know what the fuck I’m doing but based on what I know, hear, and see, we’re on the right track.”

That’s exactly how I feel.

I feel like I’m surrounded by the right people at the right time.

I’ve communicated clearly, and I feel like we’re prepared for what is next.

The reason why I believe I feel this way is because we’ve been working towards this for a very long time. We’ve avoided growing too quickly, often due to a nudge from my business partner, Chris.

He has often taken a more methodical approach, which has served us quite well.

Well, it feels like the launch pad is built and the rocket is on its way over to the pad.

I’ve always wanted to launch a rocket (successfully) and get it to its destination.

That’s my goal.

“Houston, Tranquility Base here, the Eagle has landed.”

Maybe one day we’ll hit our next goal and I’ll get to do a little role play with that quote.

I’m going to be better today than I was yesterday. I know that for sure.
