A Year of Growth… Together.
I spent this last week in Tahoe with my girlfriend Elizabeth celebrating our one year anniversary.
It was time to snowboard and relax!
I haven't snowboarded very much in the last 15 years so snowboarding with her for the first time was a real treat to say the least. The first thing that stuck out to me was how much I genuinely enjoyed supporting her on the mountain. I kept turning my head watching her and rooting her on. That meant a lot to me.

Big Moves for Big Mark
A week of small, progressive, wins.
First of all, things really progressed with my father. I can’t express in words how proud I am of him. For being a stubborn old man (I mean that with love) he has made some hard decisions this past week and kept his promises.
Promises that are going to benefit him and the rest of the family, but are incredibly difficult as I’ve mentioned previously.

Turning The Page
This was a monumental week for my family. My father was discharged from his physical rehab facility and a day later it was time to show him a new version of life we would like him to consider.
We wanted my father to turn the page and begin a new chapter in his beautiful life.
We’ve been working on a presentation for him for weeks.

A Slam Dunk Start to 2026
What a week. Started the week in Minneapolis, hung out in Stevens Point during the middle of the week, then got back to Houston for a few days. As this blog is posted I’ll be packing to go back to Wisconsin again.
Dad is rehabbing well. Had someone mention that it sounded like he is in rehab for alcohol/drugs so I’ll clear it up, it’s a physical rehab facility. My dad loves a cocktail but it’s his body that’s broken right now, not his liver lol.
